The summer sales are officially here and theres nothing we love more than the sheer thrill we get knowing that we’re stocking up our summer wardrobes at up to half the price and we’re totally helping the economy too so really its our duty to shop, right? If you’re anything like us you’ve already had a hardcore few days of searching your favourite brands websites to snap up some bargains, or you’ve faced your fears and been in-store to truly experience sale season (we salute you if you have, you are a braver woman than us). Either way you’re likely to have found some amazing pieces in the sales but if you’re still looking for that perfect outfit we’ve compiled a list below of our favourite items found in the sale section…
We don’t know what it is but theres something about a jumpsuit that makes us feel like we can get stuff done. Maybe its the fact our legs feel free or that we kind of feel like s child again in them? Well whatever it is we’ll be sure to be adding this vibrant yellow Bershka number to our basket!
Ask us the one thing we are guaranteed to hunt the Topshop sale for and 9 times out of 10 we’ll respond with ‘JEANS!’. The brand are famous for their denim and the sale means we can stock up at a discounted price (because you can never have too many pairs of jeans if you ask us). We’re loving these Jamie jeans with fringe detailing at the bottom for adding a bit of character to our usual love for skinny jeans!
Festival season is also very much upon us with the Isle of Wight festival kicking things off this past weekend. If you’re heading for some of the glitz and glam that the countryside has to offer you’ll know that a kimono is must have cover up for any festival. This turquoise fringed Zara number is an absolute dream and will have you channelling Stevie Nicks in no time!
ASOS Curve is one of the most on-trend plus-sized collections on the market right now and they arguably have one of the largest option ranges of any retailer. This Bardot dress is ideal for all those summer weddings and other events you’re bound to be invited to, the shape is flattering for all body types and the bright red is sure to make heads turn!
We know that a leather jacket is probably the last thing on you list to be buying in this current heatwave but hear us out, a leather jacket is an investment that will last you for years so make sure you get a high quality one. All Saints are the go-to for quality leather products. This classic black biker jacket is still a bit on the expensive side at £208 (down from £300) but you’ll soon get your moneys worth cost per wear so really its win-win… well, thats our excuse anyway…
Admittedly we’re not the kind of person who can wear white without spilling anything but these shorts from Nobody’s Child are just gorgeous enough to make us at least try to not spill our rosé down them. Try them with a crop top and dressy sandals for a chic but stylish summer BBQ outfit… just remember no ketchup!
If theres one thing we love it’s a slogan t-shirt. If theres one thing we absolutely love its a slogan t-shirt with a feminist message hence why this Monki tee went straight in our shopping basket. Plus, added bonus, it was only a FIVER! £5 for a t-shirt that’ll do the talking for us? Yes please.
With summer well and truly here we’ll also be looking to update our accessories collection and where better to start than with sunglasses? These Mango beauties are perfect for adding a touch of colour to any outfit and the rose gold means you’ll stay on trend. At a £12.99 price tag we’ll have three pairs please, see you at the till!
The sports-luxe trend has dominated catwalks for a few seasons now and it shows no signs of going anywhere so its time we invested in a pair of track pants to give us a cool edge to our outfit. These Urban Outfitters pair are available for £20 and will give you all the style of going to the gym without having to do any exercise! We don’t recommend wearing them with heels a la Kim K though, that just looked a bit odd…
