Copenhagen is the hub of Scandi-cool so it’s no surprise that the Danish capital is luring travellers away from the likes of Berlin, Paris and Rome for a long weekend. The city is chock-full of things to do; whether you want to shop at cult Scandinavian brands such as Ganni and Acne Studios, view the history of the city’s palaces, get your tourist on by hitting up some must-see places or eat your way through its Michelin-Starred restaurants, we guarantee you won’t get bored!
Currency: Danish Krone
Language: Danish (but the majority speak English just as good, if not better than us!)
Most popular tourist attractions: the colourful houses in Nyhavn, Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid Statue, Nationalmuseet, changing of the guard at Amalienborg (12pm daily).
Something to bear in mind: The majority of museums are closed on Mondays (especially outside of the summer season) so factor this into your travel itinerary when planning what to do on which day.
